Order Cancellation
Changed your mind? No problem — we keep it simple.
- You can cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it. Just email us at contact@ozelbirsey.in or reply to your order confirmation message on WhatsApp.
- You may also submit a cancellation request through the Contact Us form on our website.
- Once your order has been dispatched, cancellation is no longer possible — but our exchange policy has you covered (see below).
Exchange & Replacement
We want you to absolutely love what you ordered. If something isn't quite right, here's how we make it easy:
- 7-day exchange window: Raise your exchange or replacement request within 7 days of receiving your item.
- Condition: Items should be unused, unworn, and returned with the original tags and packaging intact — this helps us ensure every customer receives their piece in perfect condition.
- One-time exchange: Each order is eligible for one exchange (size or style, subject to availability).

- Doorstep pickup: We arrange a convenient reverse pickup right from your doorstep — no courier office visits needed. Damaged or defective item? Pickup is completely free — we'll never charge you for our error. For size or style exchanges, a nominal ₹200 pickup charge applies toward the reverse courier cost.
Please note: Items purchased with store credit or gift cards are final sale and not eligible for return or exchange. Store credit and gift card credit cannot be combined with other promotional offers or discounts.
Refunds
We've designed our refund policy to be fair and transparent:
- Lost in transit? If your order is lost in transit, you'll receive a full refund to your original payment method, reflecting in your account within 3–5 business days.
- Approved returns: All other approved returns are settled via Ozel store credit, issued within 5–7 business days after the item passes our quality check — so you can choose something you'll truly love.
- Our mistake? We'll make it right. If you receive a missing, defective, or incorrectly shipped item, raise it via our return portal or WhatsApp, and store credit will be processed for you promptly — with free reverse pickup.
To keep things fair for everyone, Ozel reserves the right to decline returns where items are found to be used, damaged, or not meeting the return conditions above.

Named, not described
Most of India still prefers to buy clothes in a store for one reason: they want to touch the fabric first. We cannot hand it to you through a screen, so we do the next best thing — every Özel page names the exact fabric it is cut from.
Not 'premium blend'. Not 'luxury fabric'. The actual cloth, in the description and again under Fabric & Care.
Made to order, in our own atelier
Your piece does not exist until you buy it. It is cut and stitched in Özel's atelier in your size, anywhere from XXS to 4XL, then finished and checked by hand.

Nothing leaves unchecked
Seams, hems, gathers, closures. Every piece is inspected before it is folded, because a dropped stitch found in our atelier costs us an hour and one found at your door costs you an occasion.
Four habits, many summers.
Cold, by hand, alone
The first wash sets the colour. Cold water, a mild detergent, and nothing else in the basin with it.
Never wring
Press the water out between your palms or a towel. Wringing is what puts permanent creases into smocking and gathers.
Dry in shade
Inside out, flat or on a padded hanger, out of direct sun. Indian sun bleaches natural fabric faster than any wash.
Steam, don't scorch
Warm iron on the reverse, or a steamer held away from the detailing. Hang it, don't fold it, between wears.
Arrives pressed, folded, ready to wear.
Every piece leaves the atelier folded in Özel packaging with its care note inside — nothing to steam out, nothing to fix before you wear it.

How do I pick my size?
Open the Size guide under the size buttons and measure your bust, waist and hips against it. Those are body measurements in inches, and every garment is cut with 1–2" of ease over them. Our model is 5'6" and wears a size S. Between two rows? Size up. Still unsure — send us your measurements on WhatsApp and we will tell you which to order.
Is it true to size, or does it run small?
Fit is stated on every product page rather than assumed across the line. Relaxed silhouettes — kaftans, co-ord sets, tiered midis — are forgiving across roughly two sizes. Fitted gowns and corset styles are not, so measure for those.
What is it actually made of?
Every Özel page names the exact fabric in the description and again under Fabric & Care — no blends hidden behind words like “premium” or “luxury”.
What if the size is wrong when it arrives?
You have 7 days from delivery for a one-time exchange, raised in under a minute through our return portal or on WhatsApp. We collect from your doorstep — free if the fault is ours, ₹200 toward reverse courier for a size or style change. Approved returns are settled as Özel store credit; an order lost in transit is refunded to your original payment method. We also offer alterations if the fix is smaller than a size change.
Is Cash on Delivery available?
Yes, COD is available across India. Prepaid orders are dispatched on priority.
How long until it reaches me?
Every Özel piece is made to order, and most orders reach you within about a week of purchase, with tracking on WhatsApp and email from the moment of dispatch. Buying for a trip or an event? Order 2–3 weeks ahead, or WhatsApp us on 72929 29404 — prepaid orders can be prioritised.
